This update: March 10, 2009
With the warm temperatures and rain, the trails are down to dirt and slush.
We have had a terrific sledding season this year.
Thanks to all of you that did your snow dance! The guys had lots of snow to work with and that makes all the difference.
A huge THANK YOU!!! to all the drivers that volunteered their time. They spent many hours in the seat, keeping the trails as flat as they could. Thank you again! Many, many people came in to say how great the trails were.
A special Thank You! also to Andy at Silverline Welding and Shane at Wellston Tire and Lube. These guys kept our old drags in one piece for another year!
Thank you all very much for riding our trails and supporting our businesses this winter!
Robins were sighted in the Pine Lake area on Sunday March 8! It won't be long now. Check the line on the fishing poles and get out the mushroom bags!
Fishermen are already hitting the rivers!
Come up and visit us this summer!
Have a great Spring and Summer!

Wellston grooms approximately 64 miles of trails with two John Deere tractors and drags. Many volunteer hours go into making our trails the best with what we are given.
Our new page, Where are the Groomers? will let you know where the groomers are and what has been groomed.
We pride ourselves in giving you the most accurate trail report that we can. We offer a local telephone number that you may call anytime for a recording of trail conditions.
231-848-4980 We update our trail line and this web page as conditions change.
Be safe and courteous to others on the trail and thank you for riding the Wellston Trail System.
