This update: Jan. 31, 2010
We need everyone to do your snow dance!
Trails are in good shape, thin in spots and icy.
Received some lake effect, 2-3 inches of fluffy accumulation over the weekend.
Groomers went out on Sunday to do what they could. Smoother but icy and thin.
Cold temps and flurries still in the forecast thru the week.
What happened to January????
Fishermen have been hitting the rivers, they have easy access to the ramps with no snow.
Watch for new 911 locator signs on our East/West trails. We've done a lot of fill work this fall in wash out areas. (28 loads of gravel) A huge THANK YOU!! to all the volunteers that got those projects done this year.
Ride safe! Do your snow dance!
See you out on the trails!
Wellston Groomers
Wellston grooms approximately 64 miles of trails with two John Deere tractors and drags. Many volunteer hours go into making our trails the best with what we are given.
Our new page, Where are the Groomers? will let you know where the groomers are and what has been groomed.
We pride ourselves in giving you the most accurate trail report that we can. We offer a local telephone number that you may call anytime for a recording of trail conditions.
231-848-4980 We update our trail line and this web page as conditions change.
Be safe and courteous to others on the trail and thank you for riding the Wellston Trail System.
